Advertisement Aboriginal Education Mentor (1 day/week)/
Learning Support (2 days/week)

Nowra Anglican College an independent, P-12, co-educational day school is seeking dynamic and passionate Christian staff for the roles of part-time Learning Support Officer and part-time Aboriginal Education Mentor.

The Aboriginal Education Mentor is responsible for providing assistance and support to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The Aboriginal Education Mentor will also provide support and advice to teachers of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. This position is open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants in accordance with section 14D of the Anti-Discrimination Act.

The Learning Support Officer plays an essential role in the Nowra Anglican College environment and is responsible for the care and support of students with learning needs and disabilities. The Learning Support Officer Officer will work collaboratively with teaching staff to assist students with disabilities and learning needs.

Desirable Skills and qualities

  • Qualifications in Teachers’ Aide, Education Support or equivalent
  • Experience in working with children with a disability/learning needs
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about working with children and young people

Nowra Anglican College is a Christian school in the Anglican tradition. The ideal candidates must be supportive of the Anglican ethos of our College community and be willing to take an active part in the full life of the College.
