Recently, each kindergarten class had the opportunity to visit Bundanon and engage in art workshops. Our learning experiences were informed by the Wilder Times museum season and connected to the ideas, themes, and material practices of the artists and artworks in this exhibition.
Children explored and responded to artworks on display in the Art Museum. This exhibition was used to enlighten and inspire learners about their own art-making in the connected suite of learning experiences. They focused on elements and experiences of the landscape that you might not normally notice. They listened to environmental sounds and engaged in the mark-making that this inspires.
They painted artwork on recycled cardboard using colour to communicate the intensity, texture, pattern and tone of the sounds and waveforms they experienced at Bundanon. These beautiful creations were proudly displayed at The Symphony of the Light and around the College.
