I am thrilled to share the remarkable achievements of Nowra Anglican College’s graduating class of 2024. This year's successes are a testament to the hard work and perseverance of our students, the dedication of the teaching staff, and the steadfast support of their families and friends. We all strive to achieve outstanding outcomes year on year and these results demonstrate what can be achieved through determination and perseverance. It is no secret that we focus on teaching our students “how to learn” through our Building Learning Power teaching and learning framework.
The highest ATAR in the College this year was achieved by Thoshni Wijendra, with a score of 96.25. This is a wonderful achievement and a testament to Thoshni’s hard work and dedicated approach to her learning.
Many of our graduates earned an ATAR of 90 or above, placing them among the highest-ranked students in NSW. Congratulations to the following students upon achieving these outstanding ATAR results.
This year we are proud to announce that many of our graduates were placed on the HSC Distinguished Achievers roll for achieving the highest band (Band 6 or E4) possible for one or more HSC courses across a wide variety of subjects.

Of particular note are the following achievements:
I am also incredibly proud of the improvement across the board for many students who have achieved highly in all subjects. Some students have overcome significant hurdles and challenges in their studies. Some students are the first to achieve the HSC in their family and we are incredibly proud of their achievement. I am also reminded that this particular group was just starting their elective subjects at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, impacting their formative years. I believe this cohort is special and resilient. This is growth in learning.
These academic results were on top of the wonderful breadth of sports, music, drama, creative arts, enterprise, service, and leadership that the students enjoyed. We believe in providing a rich variety of educational experiences for the holistic development of each student.
So where to from here? We will continue to help our students achieve highly in their learning. It is what we are called to do and is part of our mission to provide a high-quality Christian education where every child is welcomed and belongs in our school.
Congratulations once again to the Class of 2024!
