We’re excited to share a new initiative from our Junior School Student Leaders!
To celebrate the diversity of our NAC community and promote a culture of inclusivity, our leaders will be teaching Junior School students how to say “Welcome” in different languages. Each week at our K–6 Morning Lines on Monday, a student leader will introduce a new language and share its meaning with us all.
Last week, Thaonhi, one of our Junior School Captains, proudly shared her Vietnamese heritage by teaching everyone how to say “Chào mừng” – a warm Vietnamese welcome!
This initiative reflects our College vision to be a Christ-centred learning community, where every student feels known, valued and understood. It also supports our mission to honour God, love others and serve in the world, as we celebrate the many backgrounds that make our school community so special.
“Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” – Romans 15:7 (ESV)
Check out the video to see our JS Leaders in action, sharing how to say "Welcome" in Vietnamese! Stay tuned as more of our leaders share their own cultures and help us learn new ways to make others feel seen and included.
